Cosa farò poiché il padrone mi toglie la fattoria? Non posso zappare, mi vergogno di chiedere l’elemosina. Ma so quello che farò, affinché quando sarò cacciato dalla fattoria, possa essere accolto in casa altrui. Ecco cosa dice di fattore disonesto ma scaltro (non come i figli della luce!).
San Paolo poi nella prima lettura afferma: noi abbiamo ricevuto lo spirito di figli adottivi. In noi c’e’ la carne ma anche lo Spirito del Signore. Ecco la differenza tra noi e i non battezzati! Occorre rendersi conto del nostro privilegio di cristiani. In noi c’e’ il principiop della redenzione. E lo Spirito in noi dice “Abba!”. Comportiamoci quindi da figli di Dio! Verso il Padre Nostro che e’ buono e premuroso con noi!
Siamo stati per molti anni nella distrazione di questo mondo. Ma ora viviamo l’amore del prossimo e l’amore di Dio.
Il padrone vuole cacciare il fattore disonesto. Ma lui astutamente trova altri amici. I figli di questo mondo sono piu’ astuti dei figli della luce!
Ma dobbiamo, oltre ad operare le opere della verita’, anche operare con astuzia per farci degli amici in terra per ottenere l’unico bene che conta. Occorre accettare le nostre croci, i sacrifici necessari. E’ meglio soffrire qui per fare del bene al prossimo, anche se il prossimo ci ha fatto del male!

In the first reading, St. Paul affirms to us: we have received the spirit of adopted children. In us there is the flesh but also the Spirit of the Lord. Here is the difference between us and the unbaptized! It is necessary to realize our privilege as Christians.
In us there is the principle of redemption. And the Spirit in us says “Abba!”. Let us therefore behave as children of God! Towards the Our Father who is good and caring with us!
We have been in the distraction of this world for many years. But now we live the love of neighbors and the love of God. The master wants to drive out the dishonest farmer. But he cunningly finds other friends.
The children of this world are smarter than the children of light!
But we must, in addition to working the works of truth, also work with cunning to make friends on earth to obtain the only good that matters!
It is necessary to accept our crosses, the necessary sacrifices. It is better to suffer here to do good to our neighbor, even if our neighbor has hurt us!
