DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*)
In questi giorni abbiamo la grazia di celebrare queste messe votive, oggi quella di San Giuseppe. Abbia ascoltato nell’epistola un brano della Genesi. Al tempo c’era un altro Giuseppe figlio di Giacobbe. Giacobbe sul letto di morte benedice i figli.
La benedizione a Giuseppe [nella Genesi] si applica anche al padre di Gesu’. Infatti e’ benedetto e privilegiato per essere il padre della Sacra Famiglia. Ha custodito infatti un grande mistero, quello di Gesu’ Figlio di Dio.
Illuminato dagli angeli ha svolto il suo ruolo importantissimo di capo della Sacra Famiglia, come ebreo giusto, ma anche obbediente ai comandi di Dio.
Impariamo pertanto da San Giuseppe la dote della riflessione e della preghiera intima e personale davanti a Dio. Anche questo e’ un segno di fede che ci risparmia inutili errori e sofferenze!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

In these days we have the grace to celebrate these votive masses, today that of St. Joseph. He listened to a passage from Genesis in the epistle. At the time there was another Joseph son of Jacob. Jacob on his deathbed blesses the children.
The blessing to Joseph [in the Genesis] also applies to Jesus’ father. In fact, he is blessed and privileged to be the father of the Holy Family. In fact, he guarded a great mystery, that of Jesus the Son of God.
Illuminated by angels, he played his very important role as head of the Holy Family, as a just Jew, but also obedient to God’s commands.
We therefore learn from St. Joseph the gift of reflection and intimate and personal prayer before God. This too is a sign of faith that spares us unnecessary errors and suffering!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
