EVANGELIUM E OMELIA\GOSPEL AND HOMILY:
Evangelium Matt 25:1-13
In illo témpore: Dixit Iesus discípulis suis parábolam hanc: Simile erit regnum cœlórum decem virgínibus: quæ, accipiéntes lámpades suas, exiérunt óbviam sponso et sponsæ. At ille respóndens, ait: Amen, dico vobis, néscio vos. Vigiláte ítaque, quia néscitis diem neque horam.
Gospel Matt 25:1-13
In that time Jesus said to the people: Then shall the kingdom of heaven be like to ten virgins, who taking their lamps went out to meet the bridegroom and the bride. And five of them were foolish, and five wise. But the five foolish, having taken their lamps, did not take oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with the lamps. And the bridegroom tarrying, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made: Behold the bridegroom cometh, go ye forth to meet him. Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise: Give us of your oil, for our lamps are gone out. The wise answered, saying: Lest perhaps there be not enough for us and for you, go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. Now whilst they went to buy, the bridegroom came: and they that were ready, went in with him to the marriage, and the door was shut. But at last came also the other virgins, saying: Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answering said: Amen I say to you, I know you not. Watch ye therefore, because you know not the day nor the hour.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – MARTEDI 16 NOVEMBRE, S.MESSA ORE 8.00.
DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*)
Matt 25:1-13
In illo témpore: Dixit Iesus discípulis suis parábolam hanc: Simile erit regnum cœlórum decem virgínibus: quæ, accipiéntes lámpades suas, exiérunt óbviam sponso et sponsæ.

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**)
Matt 25: 1-13 In illo témpore: Dixit Iesus discípulis suis parábolam hanc: Similar erit regnum cœlórum decem virgínibus: quæ, accipiéntes lámpades suas, exiérunt óbviam sponso et sponsæ. Vigiláte ítaque, quia néscitis diem neque horam .
Today we remember Saint Gertrude of Helfta, known as the Great (Eisleben, January 6, 1256 – Helfta, November 17, 1302), a Cistercian nun, is venerated as a saint by the Catholic Church which celebrates her memory on November 16.
She was the first to spread devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
We do not know the origins of Gertrude, who was entrusted and educated at the age of 5 in the Cistercian monastery by the great Matilda of Magdeburg.
Here she studied the subjects of the crossroads and crossroads, law, theology and music. She is the author of a powerful prayer about which Jesus Christ made a great promise; every time it is said, the Lord frees 1000 souls from purgatory (NDR, (1)). After the age of 25, she began to have revelations from Jesus Christ (together with St. John the Evangelist), in which Jesus himself indicated that devotion to the Sacred Heart is necessary.
St. John the Baptist pronounced also the prophecy that faith in Jesus will diminish in the future. And showed her that it is necessary to hear the heartbeat of Jesus.
A cold and habitual faith is not enough. It is necessary to know the love of Jesus, the beating of his Heart. We need to lean our head on the Heart of Jesus to feel his heartbeat, his closeness.
This knowledge will be vital for us at the moment of our encounter with him. Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised! ____________________
