EVANGELIUM E OMELIA\GOSPEL AND HOMILY:
Evangelium Matt 25:14-23
Gospel Matt 25:14-23
At that time, Jesus spoke this parable to His disciples: A man going abroad, called his servants and handed over his goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his particular ability, and then he went on his journey. And he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and gained five more. In like manner, he who had received the two gained two more. But he who had received the one went away and dug in the earth and hid his master’s money. Then after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them. And he who had received the five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Master, you handed over to me five talents; behold, I have gained five others in addition.’ His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; because you have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many; enter into the joy of your master.’ And he also who had received the two talents came and said, ‘Master, you handed over to me two talents; behold, I have gained two more.’ His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; because you have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many; enter into the joy of your master.’
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – LUNEDI 6 DICEMBRE, S.MESSA ORE 8.00
Cerchiamo quindi l’illuminazione dello Spirito Santo!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**)
Today we remember St. Nicholas of Bari, also known as St. Nicholas of Myra, St. Nicholas, St. Nicholas (or St. Nicholas) Άγιος Νικόλαος in Greek (Patara of Lycia, March 15, 270 – Myra, December 6, 343), was a Greek bishop of Myra, revered as a saint by the Catholic Church, the Orthodox Church and several other Christian denominations.
He was famous for holiness and miracles. His most extraordinary miracle is the resurrection of three children. He was for thir reason called a thaumaturge.
His figure gave rise to the tradition of Santa Claus (Editor’s note, Santa Klaus [en], Sankt Nikclaus e Sankta Klaus [ger], Sinter Klaas [hol]) , a character also known outside the Christian world. According to tradition, his relics are kept in Bari and Venice.
He also helped the poor with the power of miracles. His main virtue, along with faith, was charity. It is necessary to love one’s neighbor, but Jesus first. We try to make our mission on earth follow God’s will.
It is therefore necessary to discern and examine one’s conscience in order to understand our mission.
In second order comes the advice of others. Nobody can dispose of the others and nobody can answer for us!
Let us therefore seek the illumination of the Holy Spirit!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
