EVANGELIUM E OMELIA\GOSPEL AND HOMILY:
Evangelium Luc 3:1-6
Gospel Luke 3:1-6
Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, when Pontius Pilate was procurator of Judea, and Herod tetrarch of Galilee, and Philip his brother tetrarch of the district of Iturea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene, during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiphas, the word of God came to John, the son of Zachary, in the desert. And he went into all the region about the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins, as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, The voice of one crying in the desert, ‘Make ready the way of the Lord, make straight His paths. Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low, and the crooked ways shall be made straight, and the rough ways smooth; and all mankind shall see the salvation of God.’
believed. Blessed are they who have not seen, and yet have believed.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – GIOVEDI 23 DICEMBRE, ORE 8.00 / THURSDAY DECEMBER 23, TIME 8.00 a.m.

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**)
Antivigil of the Holy Birth of Jesus Christ Our Lord. We announce with St. John the Baptist, the voice of one crying in the desert, the coming of the Lord! Make its paths smooth: all valleys will be filled, and the mountains and hills will be lowered: the winding paths will be straightened and the rough ones smoothed: and every man will see the salvation of God.
We have come close to Holy Christmas. Which is different from all the others.
Events have worsened and darkness is falling over the world. But our certainty is in the arrival of the Lord.
Many people, and we too, perhaps think, deep down, that current events are normal. But is not so’. Even at the time of St. John the Baptist few Jews accepted and believed his message!
Even now we must listen to the appeals that heaven addresses to us. But now it’s time to put them into practice!
We must lower the hill, that is, our pride. Each of us consider himself servant of the Lord!
We ask forgiveness of all our sins, our gaps will be filled by the Lord.
Let’s spend the hours that separate us from Christmas peacefully!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
