Passati gli otto giorni, il bambino doveva essere circonciso, e gli fu posto il nome Gesú.
La prima domenica dell’anno e’ dedicata alla festivita’ del SS. Nome di Gesu’. Qui ricordiamo che il nome Gesu’ significa “Dio Salva”.
Il nome stesso ha la potenza dello Spirito Santo. Dice San Paolo: chi invoca il nome del Signore con fede e’ gia’ salvo!
Gesu’ e’ il Salvatore. Nessun altro lo e’, come afferma San Pietro negli Atti degli Apostoli!
Gli scribi e i farisei chiedono conto a San Pietro di un miracolo compiuto nel nome del Signore Gesu’ Cristo, Figlio di Dio.
Proprio il medesimo Gesu’ che loro stessi hanno perseguitato, processato nel sinedrio, condannandolo senza prove ne testimoni validi, sottoponendolo al supplizio della fustigazione e alle sofferenze atroci della morte in croce!
Occorre aver fede per essere discepoli di Gesu’!
Ma questo, come ci ha preannunciato Gesu’ stesso, non ci risparmiera’ dalle tentazioni e dalla nostra croce!
Perche’ negli ultimi tempi giungeranno molti falsi maestri che tradiranno la parola di Gesu’, raccontando favole per allontanarci dalla verita’ del Vangelo. Gli adulti che li ascoltano saranno confusi dall’idolo che verra’ loro rappresentato.
Questo e’ quanto succede ora. L’idolo e’ la televisione, che inganna e manipola. Un tempo sembrava una fonte utile di informazioni. Ma ora il demonio, attraverso l’inganno dei divertimento, ha portato messaggi e insegnamenti perversi.
Si tratta pero’ di pure favole sataniche!
Mentre, al contrario, restano vere le parole di San Pietro!
Non c’e’, infatti, salvezza al di fuori di Gesu’ Cristo!
Gesu’ Cristo e’ amore! Solo Gesu’ puo’ soccorrerci e salvarci, non ci abbandona!
Di chi vogliamo dunque essere discepoli?
Noi ci inginocchiamo solo di fronte a Gesu’, non agli idoli e ai falsi maestri!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Here we remember that the name Jesus means “God Save”. The name itself has the power of the Holy Spirit.
Saint Paul says: whoever invokes the name of the Lord with faith is already saved! Jesus is the Savior.
No one else is, as St. Peter states in the Acts of the Apostles!
The scribes and Pharisees ask St. Peter to account for a miracle performed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God.
The very same Jesus whom they themselves persecuted, tried in the Sanhedrin, condemning him without proof or valid witnesses, subjecting him to the torture of flogging and the atrocious sufferings of death on the cross!
It is necessary to have faith to be disciples of Jesus!
But this, as Jesus himself foretold us, will not spare us from temptations and from our cross!
Because in recent times many false teachers will come who will betray the word of Jesus, telling tales to distance us from the truth of the Gospel. Adults who listen to them will be confused by the idol that will be represented to them.
This is what happens now. The idol is television, which deceives and manipulates. It once seemed like a useful source of information.
But now the devil, through the deception of entertainment, has brought perverse messages and teachings.
However, these are pure satanic fables!
While, on the contrary, the words of St. Peter remain true!
In fact, there is no salvation outside of Jesus Christ!
Jesus Christ is love!
Only Jesus can help and save us, he does not abandon us!
Whose disciples do we want to be?
We kneel only in front of Jesus, not idols and false teachers!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
