EVANGELIUM E OMELIA\GOSPEL AND HOMILY:
Evangelium Luc 1:26-38
Gospel Luke 1:26-38
At that time, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary. And when the angel had come to her, he said, Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women. When she had heard him she was troubled at his word, and kept pondering what manner of greeting this might be. And the angel said to her, Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found grace with God. Behold, you shall conceive in your womb and shall bring forth a son; and you shall call His name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of David His father, and He shall be king over the house of Jacob forever; and of His kingdom there shall be no end. But Mary said to the angel, How shall this happen, since I do not know man? And the angel answered and said to her, The Holy Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow you, and therefore the Holy One to be born shall be called the Son of God. And, behold, Elizabeth your kinswoman also has conceived a son in her old age, and she who was called barren is now in her sixth month; for nothing shall be impossible with God. But Mary said: Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it done to me according to your word.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – Mercoledi 15 dicembre, S.MESSA ORE 8.00
DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*)
Is 2:2-5.
In diébus illis: Dixit Isaias Prophéta: Erit in novíssimis diébus præparátus mons domus Dómini in vértice móntium, et elevábitur super colles, et fluent ad eum omnes gentes.
Luc 1:26-38
Tutto e’ possibile a Dio, dice l’Angelo.
Percio’ inchiniamoci dinnanzi a Lui e mettiamoci al Suo servizio!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**)
Isa. 2:2-5
In those days the prophet Isaiah said: In days to come, the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established as the highest mountain and raised above the hills. All nations shall stream toward it.
Luke 1:26-38
And of His kingdom there shall be no end.
But Mary said: Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it done to me according to your word.
This is the penitential week of the Quattuor Tempora. Special days are Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
The liturgy also reflects this aspect (2 initial prayers with which one kneels until the “Levate”, and two readings).
Our prayer will be effective if accompanied by our attitude of humility. Body gestures also have their importance, along with white food.
The Lord’s arm is heavy.
We can only obtain grace through Mary. Only through her intercession can we pray to God! Mount Zion will be elevated above all others!
It is the Church of God, which will become the only lighthouse in the darkness of humanity.
It is a question of the universal conversion of all peoples to God. The Gospel is that of the Annunciation which brings the announcement of the arrival of the Messiah, the Savior.
Everything is possible for God, says the Angel.
So let us bow before him and put ourselves at his service!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
