DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*)
Oggi ricordiamo un grande papa vissuto nel secolo scorso, Pio X. Governo’ dal 1903 fino al 1914. Di origine contadina percorse tutti i gradi della carriera ecclesiastica. Condusse con grande efficacia la sua azione apostolica. Prima di diventare papa fu patriarca di Venezia.
Gesu’ chiede a Pietro “Pasci i miei agnelli“. Un vero pastore che crede nella sua missione deve amare i suoi agnelli.
Il segreto sta nella carita’. Per Dio prima di tutto e poi verso i fedeli.
Questa carita’ non si trova spesso. In Pio X questa carita’ fu al massimo grado. A Pio X e’ dovuto il suo famoso catechismo. Che non e’ affatto decaduto. Si tratta infatti del catechismo piu’ adatto ai bambini.
Serve a creare il loro senso morale. Solo cosi’ possono ottenere la Comunione e la Cresima pur essendo ancora bambini (prima questi sacramenti si compivano in eta’ piu’ matura).
Pio X non e’ affatto un papa sorpassato, come certa pseudocultura modernista ha tentato di dipingerlo.
Magari avessimo avuto a lungo un papa simile nella chiesa recente!

Today we remember a great pope who lived in the last century, Pius X. He governed from 1903 until 1914. Of peasant origin, he covered all levels of his ecclesiastical career. He carried out his apostolic action with great efficiency.
Before becoming pope he was patriarch of Venice. Jesus asks Peter “Feed my lambs”.
A true shepherd who believes in his mission must love his lambs. The secret lies in charity. For God first of all and then towards the faithful. This charity is not often found. In Pius X this charity was at the highest degree. His famous catechism is due to Pius X. Which has not decayed at all. It is in fact the most suitable cacechism for children. It serves to create their moral sense.
Only in this way can they obtain communion and confirmation even though they are still children (previously these sacraments were performed at a more mature age).
Pius X is by no means an outdated pope, as a certain modernist pseudoculture attempted to portray him. We wish we had long had such a pope in the recent church!
